The programme is freely available to colleagues working in the NHS, independent sector and social care.  We have removed the requirement to register and log in: https://portal.e-lfh.org.uk/Component/Details/604722

Please note that if you do not log in, then your activity will not be tracked and you will not create a learning record. For example, if you are returning to work and need to complete your Statutory and Mandatory training, then you will need to be logged in so that the system knows who you are.

So if you need to create a learning record but don’t have an account, then you will need to register.  Please note this is not restricted and you can submit any email address: https://portal.e-lfh.org.uk/Register

International users

We recognise that this is a global issue so we have made the Coronavirus programme available to international users for free via our partner organisation, eIntegrity. If you are a learner outside of the UK please select here.

About the Coronavirus (COVID-19) programme

This programme has been created by Health Education England elearning for healthcare (HEE elfh) in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) global pandemic.

The programme includes key materials to help the health and care workforce respond to Coronavirus.

Intensive Care and Respiratory Conditions

Intensive Care Medicine (e-ICM)

e-ICM is particularly useful for trainees undertaking training in intensive care medicine but the content will also be of interest and use to anyone caring for critically ill patients, such as those from at risk groups suffering from the Coronavirus.

A huge programme aligned to the Royal College of Anaesthetists anaesthetic curriculum, e-LA has sections on the airway and respiratory system, critical care and respiratory problems.

Critical Care Intravenous Therapy (CCN)

The Pan London Critical Care Intravenous Therapy programme has been developed to deliver standardised teaching on the administration of intravenous (IV) medication in critical care.

Intensive Care Echo and Basic Lung Ultrasound (ICE-BLU)

Intensive Care Echo and Basic Lung Ultrasound (ICE-BLU) covers the theoretical knowledge required prior to undertaking hands-on training in basic echo and lung ultrasound in intensive care. This includes the physics of ultrasound, anatomy and basic views, left and right ventricular function, life-threatening pathologies, basic lung ultrasound and some of the limitations and pitfalls that may be encountered. The intended audience is intensive care and acute medicine doctors, anaesthetists and clinicians interested in assessment of the critically ill patient.

Induction and Working in the NHS

Doctors in Training Induction (DIT)

Doctors in Training (DiT) Induction is a national elearning programme aimed at doctors in training (specifically F1s and F2s), returning doctors and doctors from overseas, working in primary care, secondary care and community settings.

The purpose of this programme is to ensure that doctors in training can demonstrate required levels of knowledge in key clinical areas and to reduce repetition of this training. It incorporates key relevant clinical topics which support doctors in training with the additional competencies needed as part of their induction to provide high quality patient care.

Induction for International and Returning GPs (IGP)

This is a short elearning programme which supports the GP Induction and Refresher (I&R) Scheme and is aimed at GPs returning to work in the NHS who need an induction placement. The session provides a basic grounding of the principles and structure of the NHS, along with guidance on many aspects of the role of the modern GP, such as safeguarding, patient safety and ethics.

Foundation (FND)

The Foundation elearning programme is designed to underpin practical clinical experience and ensure the application of pre-existing knowledge in a safe manner. The elearning sessions are mapped directly to the Foundation Professional Capabilities (Training Outcomes) in the 2016 Foundation Curriculum.
